Virginia M. Morrie, 92, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine with Deacon Joe Behounek officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine at a later date.

Virginia was born in Belle Plaine on September 21, 1924 to Charles and Letta (Shadbolt) Frondle. On June 20, 1953, she married John Morrie in Fort Madison, IA. She spent many years in Fort Madison, then later returning to Belle Plaine.

Virginia was known for her Catholic faith and her interest in anything John Wayne.

She is survived by her brothers, Richard Frondle of Cedar Rapids, IA and Orville Frondle of Kirbyville, MO; step-sister, Patty Fredrick of Hampton, VA; step-son, James (Bette) Morrie of San Bernardino, CA, along with many more family and friends.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; brothers, Charles, Lyle and LeRoy Frondle.
