Terry L. Rieck, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Luzerne, died at the Mercy Medical Center on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 after an extended illness. Terry Rieck was born October 27, 1944, in Belle Plaine. He was the son of Milford and Donna Mae Sindt Rieck. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1962. He married Norma Behounek, September 25, 1965 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Luzerne, Iowa. He worked in the cost accounting field for over 25 years starting at Wilson Foods in Cedar Rapids, and then Farmstead and Hudson Foods in Albert Lea, Minnesota, before returning to Cedar Rapids in 1994, working in the vending business for Nenortas Enterprises. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife of 49 years Norma; one brother Dean (Janet) Rieck of Manchester; two nephews and one niece. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 25 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids with Rev. David W. Renfro officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Saturday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.
