Suzanne Marie Hiatt, 53 of Rowley, Iowa passed away suddenly, in Norway, IA on Friday, November 17, 2017.
A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, Iowa with Fr. Dustin Vu officiating.
Visitation will be 4-7 Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at St. Michael's Parish Hall, Norway. Memorials may be donated to the family. Online condolences can be sent at www.hrabakfuneralhome.com .
Suzanne Marie was born June 7, 1964 in Cedar Rapids, IA the daughter of Harold and Helen (Werning) Schmitt, and maternal mother, Janice Jacoby. She graduated from Norway High School the class of 1982. Following high school she worked as a CNA at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Amana, and later went on to do in-home daycare in both Norway and Cedar Rapids. August 23, 2008 Suzanne married Steve in Las Vegas. Together the couple lived in Cedar Rapids until recently purchasing her dream acreage in Rowley, which they have been renovating.
Suzanne enjoyed traveling, playing games, and with a big part of her life being music, she could play many different instruments including the guitar, keyboard, drums and had an amazing voice to go with it. Most of all Suzanne loved being around and spending time with all of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Hiatt of Rowley, children, Chantel (Austin) McDowell, of Cedar Rapids, Brooklyn Frese, of Norway, Ryker Frese, of Norway; step-children, Amanda Hamilton, of Cedar Rapids, Jennifer Hamilton, of Cedar Rapids, Maxwell Hiatt, of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Kathy (Robert) Zobeck, of Walford, Gary Schmitt, of Watkins, Rick (Kerry) Schmitt, of Fort Calhoun, NE, Diane (Steve) Bauer, of Atkins, Linda (Andy) Faucher, of Omaha, NE, Wendy (Mark) Miller, of Marengo, Heather (Lonnie) McClannahan, of Conroy, Heidi Jacoby, of Grapevine, TX, Shane (Michael) Niece-Jacoby, of Cedar Rapids, Colby (Nancy) Jacoby, of Williamsburg, Quenton Jacoby, of Marengo, Ian Jacoby, of Cedar Rapids, Hillari Jacoby, of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Skylar, Aydan, K.J., Huxley, Raelynn, Mason, Madilynn; and many more loving family and friends.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, maternal mother, and brother-in-law Jeff Hiatt.
