Stanley J. Vavroch, 63, of Belle Plaine passed away Wed. Feb. 13, 2019 at his home.

Stan was born in Toledo, IA on January 16, 1956 to Donald and Della (Vore) Vavroch. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School the class of 1975. Following high school, he worked for Amana Refrigeration, and Albert Becks Plumbing. Later making a career at Benco Manufacturing, which  transferred him to Victor Manufacturing.

Stan enjoyed preparing and sharing meals made from his smoker. He had a passion for fishing, being outdoors, canoeing the Iowa River, and hunting mushrooms. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Della Vavroch of Belle Plaine; brothers, Dave (Janet) of Ankeny, Jim (Karla) of Belle Plaine; sister, Lisa Jones of Belle Plaine; and many more loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald and brother Douglas.

I pray that I may live to fish, until my dying day. When it comes to my final cast, I then must humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net, and peacefully asleep, that in his mercy I be judged "big enough to keep!"
