Scott "Scotty" A. Oehl, 63, of Amana, IA passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 at the Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, IA.

A Graveside service is 11 A.M. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at St John's Cemetery, Homestead. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.neuhausfuneralservice.com.
Scott "Scotty" Allen Oehl was born July 11,1957 to Carl and Fern (Wichmann) Oehl of Amana. He was confirmed at St Johns Lutheran church on March 27,1972. He graduated from Amana High School in the Class of 1976. Scotty spent most of his young adult years working in the family restaurant, The Colony Marketplace. He then moved on to drive truck for companies including Kloubek Fish Farms, Wendler Construction and LL Pelling.

Scotty had a passion for hunting, fishing and dog training. He enjoyed a hunting trip to Africa and many trips both to fish with his father and friends. He was a lifelong resident of Amana and could be found most of his life in the timber. He made many friends throughout his life and while in later years his relationships faded, in the end he wanted his friends to know that he cherished the time they spent together.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Carl and Fern Oehl.

Survived by his sister, Carla Oehl-Sheely, his nephew Travis (Laura Kay) Sheely and great nephew Dylan Sheely.
