Ruth Hedwig Dvorak, 79, of Belle Plaine and formerly of Chelsea died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness. Services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 23 at the First Lutheran Church with Pastor Dean Duncan presiding. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Vining. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 PM Monday at the Hrabak Funeral Home and after 9:30 AM Tuesday at the church. She is survived by sons, Alan Dvorak of Belle Plaine and Dale (Vicki) Dvorak of Kirkland, WA; brothers, Byron (Sharon) Holst of Keystone and Les (Kay) Holst of Indianola; sisters, Olga (Vernon) Sikir of Belle Plaine and Carol McGinnis of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Ann Holst of Independence; grandchildren, Stephanie, Sarah, Danielle, and Nathan. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Stella Holst; husband Robert "Bob" and brother, Harvey Holst. A memorial fund has been established.
