Rosalyn A. "Rose" McMains, 91, of Blairstown, Iowa passed away July 11, 2017 at Unity Point Hospice.

Rosalyn A. "Rose" Sokol was born September 3, 1925 in Vining, Iowa to Joseph and Ella (Kolar) Sokol. November 20, 1945, she married Ellsworth Galen "Mac" McMains. Together they moved to Blairstown in 1946 where she lived ever since.

Rose was a member of American Legion Auxiliary since 1948, she loved fishing and bowling.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail (David) Zigler; daughter-in-law, Linda Harrison McMains; grandson's, Jeff McMains, Scott (Darcy) McMains, Levi (Laura) Zigler; granddaughters, Kelli Zigler, Kami (Jeremy) Anderson; 5 great-granddaughters; brother-in-law, Clyde Blish.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mac McMains son, Gary McMains and Carolyn Blish.
