Rex S. Squiers, 64, of Des Moines, died Monday, March 9, 2015 in Kathleen, GA. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am. on Saturday, March 14, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine with Pastor Greg Pollak of High Pointe Church, Altoona, presiding. Burial will be in Rector Cemetery, Chelsea. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to service time on Saturday at the Funeral Home. Rex was born September 30, 1950, in Belle Plaine to Harold and Esther Ryan Squiers. He grew up in the Chelsea area and graduated from BGM High School. Most of his adult life he was a truck driver. He is survived by daughters, Shelley (John) Stjernberg of Waukee, Mandy (Chad) Smith of Chariton and Crystal Squiers (Trevor Kent) of Altoona; sons, Nate (Stacey) Squiers of Norwalk and Nicholas Loftus of Des Moines; sister, Phyllis Squiers of Eagan, MN; and nine Grandchildren. Rex was preceded in death by parents as well as brothers Dale, Keith, David and Dennis.
