Pauline Cora was born March 28, 1926 in Toledo, Iowa to Lester and Mary Vesely. She graduated from Toledo High School. Following her schooling she taught country school at Carol #9 in Tama County. October, 14, 1944, she married John C. Dvorak at St. Joseph's Church in Chelsea and together they farmed north of Chelsea, until John was suddenly killed in a tractor accident November 5, 1985. Pauline continued to work the farm with the help of her family Larry, Nancy Dvorak and grandsons Mike and Curt as they would often spend the night with grandma "Paul" to keep her company.
Pauline enjoyed working the farm, feeding out her calves and taking them to Tama Sale Barn to watch them sale, raking hay with her John Deere 530 tractor, gardening, baking kolaches and rohliky's. She loved attending Mike and Curt's sporting events and going camping with them while they were young.
Pauline was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chelsea, Iowa.
Pauline always made her family smile, some of their fondest memories of her was taking her to the Newton Track in her 80's and having a blast, watching her drive the 4-wheeler around while in 1st gear the whole time and how she mowed her lawn in circles. Pauline loved her dogs and spending time on the farm, until going to the care center, the staff will remember her love taps on their purdels. Since she didn't forget her Czech words.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Sandra Husak; grandson, Chris (Christine) Husak; great-grandchildren, Evan, Madison, Gavin; granddaughter, Julie (Jason) Tiedeman; great-grandson, Gage; grandson, Matt (Jessica) Husak; great-grandchildren, Connor, Brady, Peyton, Tyler; daughter-in-law, Nancy Dvorak; grandsons, Mike (significant other, Jenny Lawrence) Dvorak and Curt (Jody) Dvorak; granddaughter, Mila; and many more loving family and friends.
