Pauline LaRue (Allen) Combs, 88 passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Keystone Nursing Care Center, Keystone, IA. Graveside services (Open to the public) will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine, with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at hrabakfuneralhome.com Pauline was born June 12, 1927, in Tama County, Iowa to Donald W. and Florence (Pennell) Hines. Following her education in Toledo, IA, Pauline was married on January 26, 1945 to DeLoss D. Allen. The couple lived in Belle Plaine, where they raised their three children. Following the passing of DeLoss, Pauline married Dale Combs on June 6, 1973. She worked as a CNA at Marengo Hospital for many years. Pauline's interests were sewing, playing cards, traveling, bird watching, and being with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, David Allen, and Richard (Margo) Allen both of Belle Plaine; six grandchildren Jamie Botts, Ashley Allen, Chris Hunter, Mary DeWulf, David Long and Kim Harmes; and eleven great-grandchildren. Pauline is preceded in death by, her parents, husbands, DeLoss Allen, and Dale Combs; sister, Bernice Nieman; brother-in-law, Frank Nieman; nephew, Leo Nieman; daughter, Delores Harman; and great-grandson Brandon DeWulf.
