Mildred Lohff, 96, died peacefully at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama, Thursday, October 15, 2015. Services will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, October 19, 2015 at Hrabak Funeral Service of Belle Plaine, with Deccan Joe Behounek officiant. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mildred was born December 28, 1918 in Tama County, Iowa to Lewis and Agnes (Jarvosky) Macek. On June 8, 1942 she married Henry Behaunek at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chelsea. Following Henry's death in 1959 she married Clarence Lohff in LeGrand, IA. Together they spent many years living in Holstein, IA until Clarence's death in 2011. She then moved to Chelsea to live with her daughter. She loved gardening and feeding the birds and doing her woodworking projects. She had a keen sense of humor, a sweet smile and a generous heart. Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Walton, of Chelsea; son, Gary Behaunek, of Brooklyn; two grandsons, James, and Gary Behaunek, many nieces and nephews and her cat Fluffy. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Henry Behaunek, husband Clarence Lohff, son Richard Behaunek,
