Mayme M. Strachota, 90, of Toledo and formerly of Tama and Cedar Rapids died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Premier Estates (Carrington Place) of natural causes. A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 21 at the Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine by Pastor Mike Hernandez. Private committal services will be at National Cemetery, Vining. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Mayme is survived by a daughter, Gloria (Harry) Hlas of Clutier and a son, Jim (Diane) Strachota of Arvada, CO; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Sokol Riha; sisters, Elsie Koutney, Agnes Sedlacek, and Gladys Hubka.
