Margaret Tippie, 91 of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away October 10, 2025, at Meth-Wick Manor in Cedar Rapids.

Margaret was born to Charles and Margaret Hazen on April 16, 1934. Margaret grew up in Belle Plaine, Iowa and graduated from Belle Plaine High School as Valedictorian of her Class. After graduation from high school, she married Ernest Tippie on September 25, 1952 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Belle Plaine, Iowa, They settled in Cedar Rapids where Margaret and Ernie raised their Family. Margaret worked at Mercy Hospital until her retirement. Margaret and Ernie enjoyed wintering in Palm Springs, CA for many years and enjoyed traveling to Europe and Asia. Margaret and Ernie were married for 64 years until Ernie passed away in 2016.

Margaret and Ernie had four children, Daniel, Mark, Matthew, and Susan who all attended Kennedy High School and The University of Northern Iowa. They had 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Margaret took great pride in her family.

Margaret is survived by 3 sons, Daniel (Carol) Tippie of Colorado Springs, CO, Mark (Denise) Tippie of Reno, NV and Matthew (Linda) Tippie of Wimauma, FL; daughter, Susan (Ken) Bartos of Hudson, WI: 10 Grandchildren, Daniel, Benjamin, Jessica, Allyson, Samantha, Nathan, Heather, Amanda, Megan and Lauren. Along with many great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Belle Plaine, IA with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private family burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine. Memorials may be directed to the family to be used in Margaret's memory.
