Loren Dale Murdock, 82, of Toledo, IA, passed away October 11, 2021 at Belle Specialty Care, Belle Plaine, IA.

Loren was born March 29, 1939 to Dale and Agnes (Pennick) Murdock in Centralia, KS. Moving with his family to Dubios, NE; Loren graduated from Pawnee City High School. Following school, he joined the United States Army Reserve. Upon completion of his commitment to the Army, he went to Mercury Outboard Motors Marine School. Becoming a certified outboard motor mechanic. He worked for Capital Beach Marina in Lincoln, NE; and sold cars in the winter months. Loren also worked as a manager of EBKO Boat Factory, before becoming a truck driver for many years. He reentered cars sales before retirement.

Loren raced sprint car in his youth and continued his enjoyment of the sport watching Indy Car, Sprint Car, and NASCAR on Sundays. Loren had a love for family, treasuring time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Allan Murdock of Toledo, Robert (Anne) Murdock of Omaha, NE, Lori (John) Stockstill of Wichita, KS, Gary Murdock of Des Moines; grandchildren, Isaiah, Ana, Kyler, Kaylee, Lucas, Francine; sister, Virginia Murray of Farmington, NM, and many more family and friends.

Loren is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dennis Murdock.

Graveside service is 3 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo, IA with military honors. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.neuhausfuenralservice.com
