Linda L. Coakley, 78, of Cedar Rapids, passed away July 6, 2024 at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, IA.

Linda was born May 24, 1946, to Kenneth and Etta (Spurrier) Lee in Cedar Rapids. Linda played basketball and was involved in band before graduating from Norway High School, class of 1964.

Linda worked in Airline reservations and various clerical jobs. She was a member or the Optimist Club, becoming their first female president.

Linda enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, and gardening. She was a supporter of the Oklahoma Sooner softball team which she showed by often wearing their school apparel.

She is survived by her sons, Eric (Roxie) Young of Jewell, Jason Young of Cedar Rapids; daughter-in-law, Lisa Young of Apache, OK; grandchildren, Ethan, Grace, and Braden of Jewell, Shelby of O'Fallon, Illinois, Jade (Matt) of Cache, OK and Piper of Apache, OK; great grandchildren, Abrum and Blake. Brothers, Bob (Bette) Lee of Norway, Richard (Pam) Lee of Solon; nieces; Deanna (Kevin) Miller of Norway, Debbie (Regis) Schmidt of Watkins, Denise (Mark) Finnegan of Walker, Dolly (Blair) of Knoxville, Jennifer (Mark) Lacina of South Amana, Kevin (Christine) Lee of Algoma, WI.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and son, Keith.

Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walford with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Norway Cemetery, Norway, IA.
