Kenneth W. Wahl, 85, of Belle Plaine, IA, formerly of Cedar Rapids, IA passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Belle Plaine Specialty Care.

Kenneth was born September 24, 1934 in Wellman, IA to Nedd and Florence (Booth) Wahl. He graduated from Wellman High School. Following school, Kenneth joined the U.S. Army and later the Air Force.

After his service he returned home and joined the workforce. Kenneth married Peggy Perrin and to this union 2 children were born before they went their separate ways. Later Kenneth married Crystal Armstrong and to this union 3 children were born before going their separate ways.

Kenneth worked in maintenance for different factories with his last years at General Mills before retirement.

He enjoyed trains, motorcycles and his pet cats. He liked watching TV, his shows were Star Trek and CSI Miami. Most of all he was a family man and loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons, Adam Wayne Wahl of Cedar Rapids and Scott Wayne Wahl of San Antonio, TX; daughters, Jami Dawn (Wahl) Puetz of Walford, Kelly Lynn (Wahl) Howard of Marengo and Kim Elizabeth Wahl of Westby, WI; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Wahl.

Burial will take place at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter, IA on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.neuhausfuneralservice.com
