Kathleen Krakow, 82, of Belle Plaine, passed away with family by her side Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.

Born April 21, 1934, she was the youngest child of Frank and Tillie (Tehan) Drahos. Kathleen was a life-long Belle Plaine resident who very much enjoyed spending time with friends and family. A green thumb, she always could be found working in her garden, around her yard or in her flower beds.

A graduate of Belle Plaine High School, Kathleen married Clarence Krakow on August 5th, 1955. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, her sister Margaret Penrose of Marshalltown, in-laws, nieces and nephews throughout Iowa and Wisconsin, along with many more loving friends.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, Lucille, sister, Helen Harris, and brothers, Dick, John, and Larry.

A memorial graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine, IA, with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Memorials may be made out to Belle Plaine Ambulance Service. Online condolences can be sent to the family at hrabakfuneralhome.com.
