John Cecil Frimml, 83, of Belle Plaine passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at his home.

Celebration of life will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine, with a time of sharing at 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family. John Cecil the son of Cecil and Luella (Stallman) Frimml was born January 11, 1934. He was a graduate of Norway High School. Following school John served in the United States Army. November 30, 1957, He was married to Susan Newton. Together the couple farmed in rural Blairstown, until moving to Belle Plaine in the early 90's. Along with farming John was an elevator manager in Hartwick, IA until his retirement in 2015.

He enjoyed farming, listening to Barefoot Becky's accordion music, polka dances, and finding good deals at local auctions.

John is survived by his children, Steve (Carla), Stacy (Ken), Jean (Steve), Joseph, Marcia (JR), Mary (Kadhum), John Jr; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Bob, Jane, Luann, Marcia, Sandy, Richard, Dave; and many more loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, James, brother, Bill, sisters, Margaret, and Mary.
