James Emil Ledvina, 78, of Chelsea, died Monday, March 25, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following a sudden illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, April 1 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Mescher, Celebrant and Deacon Joe Behounek presiding. Burial will be in Stayskal Cemetery, rural Chelsea. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 PM Sunday at the church with a scripture service at 6:15. He is survived by his wife, Sharlene "Skip"; sons, Dean Ledvina of Chelsea, Charles Ledvina of Katy, Texas, and Kenneth (Marcia) of Avoca; and grandson, Daniel. Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine is assisting the family.
