James "Jim" Bernard Rieder, 81, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at his home.

Jim was born February, 5, 1938 to Bernard and Nelda (Sindt) Rieder in Vinton, IA. He attended school in Vinton. Following school, Jim farmed with his dad and worked for Cargill in Cedar Rapids.

Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing in his youth. He was a very kind hearted and giving person.

Jim is survived by his siblings, Colleen Shafer of Albuquerque, NM, Daniel (Deb) Rieder of Guernsey, IA, Joan (Frank) Zelezny of Columbia Falls, MT, Tony (Roxy) Rieder of Loveland, CO, David Rieder of NV and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Richard Rieder, Kathy Leick and Gerald Rieder.

A graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Keystone at a later date.
