Grant L. Forrester, 47, of Elberon, IA passed away July 17, 2017 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Celebration of Life is 1-3 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service in Belle Plaine.

Grant was born December 15, 1969 in Cedar Rapids, IA, the son of Donald and Donna Forrester. He attended Belle Plaine Schools and graduated from Belle Plaine in 1988. After High School, he attended HVAC Technical School in Lafayette, Indiana and Mechanical School in Arizona. He was previously employed at Kinze Manufacturing in Williamsburg.

Grant enjoyed working on cars, being outdoors, making things look nice through landscaping and hanging out with his dog Samson. He will be remembered as a dreamer with a free spirit.

Grant is survived by his mother, Donna Forrester of Elberon; siblings, Dan Forrester, Julie Forrester both of Elberon, Theresa Forrester of Chelsea, Patty Kearns of Belle Plaine and Marie Brown of La Porte City; half-siblings, Twyliah McNeal of Coggon, Donald Jr. Forrester of Vinton and Shari Hopkins of Columbus, OH; girlfriend of 7 ½ years, Michelle Lee of Indianola; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends including Dave Bringmann and Sandee Grogan.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald and brother in law Roger Kearns.
