Grace M. Holmes, 92, died Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be 10:30 AM Monday, December 8 at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Deacon Joe Behounek presiding. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Tama. Visitation will be 3:00 - 6:00 PM Sunday at the Hrabak Funeral Home where there will be a prayer service at 5:30 PM. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; daughters, Marilyn Sokol of Belle Plaine, Verna (Randy) Bell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Diana Woznicki of Chicago; sons, Duane (Mary) Vavroch of Jewell, Gary Holmes of Weekiwachee, Florida, Mark (Connie) Holmes of Williston, North Dakota; son-in-law, John Loeb of Smithville, Tennessee; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Grace was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Vavroch; children, Darold Vavroch and Joyce Loeb; grandson, Jeff; and her siblings, Edna, Irene, Earl, and Ruth.
