Evelyn E. Border, 73, of Belle Plaine died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness. Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the First Lutheran Church by Pastor Dean Duncan. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM Monday at the church. Hrabak Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. She is survived by her husband, Carroll; son, Bruce Border of Tuscon, AZ; daughters, Carolyn (Jim) Kurovski and Deborah (John) Thys, both of Belle Plaine; brothers, Roger (Barb) Woodworth of Hudson, FL, Harold (Norma) Woodworth of Tama; Ron (Cheryl) Woodworth of Sherman, TX, and Kenneth (Maxine) Woodworth of Haysville, KS; sister, Ramona Kuyrkendall of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a baby daughter; her parents; two brothers; and one sister. A memorial fund has been established.
