Eva Charlotte Johnson, 91, formerly of Belle Plaine, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo. Services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 26 at the First Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine by Pastor Dean Duncan. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Luzerne. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and one hour before the service at the church. She is survived by sons, Charley (Kandy) Johnson of Belle Plaine and Darrel (Margaret) Johnson of Marengo; daughter, Elizabeth (Larry) Thompson of Luzerne; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Johnson in November 2006; her parents Frederick and Eva Schroer Hartkemeyer; sister, Matilda Bauman; brothers, Fred and Albert Hartkemeyer. A memorial fund has been established.
