Edna N. Carter, 90, died Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be 10:30 am. Thursday, March 19 at Hrabak Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Johnson Presiding. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine. Visitation will be 4 - 7 pm. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Edna was born November 9, 1924, in Millersburg to Willis & Edna Hillman Shaull. She completed the 8th grade at a local country school. On February 17, 1947, she married Everett H. Carter in North English. She was a homemaker, and along with her husband, they farmed southeast of Belle Plaine. Everett and Edna had two daughters, Sharon (Steve) Schwab of Belle Plaine and Margaret (Steve) Deimerly of Marengo. Also surviving are 4 Grandchildren, 1 Step Grandchild, 9 Great Grand Children & 5 Step Great Grand Children and one Great Great Grand Child. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett in 2008; her parents; Brothers, Jerry & Alfred Shaull; Sisters, Fern Grimm, Lila Schultz & Opal Gerard, and a Step Grand Daughter, Heather Lukes. A Memorial Fund has been established in her name.
