Douglas C. Sutphin, 80, died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center following a sudden illness. Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 13 at the Hrabak Funeral Home with Rev. Carol Traver officiating. Visitation will be after 9:00 AM until service time on Monday with Military Rites. Cremation will follow the service. He is survived by his wife, Patsy; son, Terry (Deanna) Sutphin of Belle Plaine; daughters Wanda (Don) Ward of Belle Plaine and Debra Cecil (Rick Sayers) of Pilot Grove, MO; also by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Beulah Sutphin; sister, Bonnie Doty; and brother-in-law, Deryl Doty.
