Donald James Weiermann, 64, passed away on June 21, 2026.
Born on March 29, 1962, Don lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and devotion to his family and friends. He was a skilled mechanic and a dedicated school bus driver who took pride in serving his community. Don also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Chelsea Fire Department, demonstrating his commitment to helping others and protecting those around him.
Known for his love of fast cars, Don enjoyed spending time working on vehicles and sharing his passion for automobiles with family and friends. Whether in the garage, behind the wheel, or answering the call to serve his community, Don approached life with determination and generosity.
Don will be remembered for his caring heart, infectious smile, steadfast loyalty, and the love he showed to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer support, or share a laugh with family and friends.
He is survived by his fiancé Nancy Dvorak; siblings, James Weiermann (Janisa) and Ada Marie Spooner (Jason); his children, Steve Weiermann (Shannon), Jeremy Weiermann (Sarah), and Josh Weiermann (Hailey); and his cherished grandchildren, Camden, Charlie, Lennox, Sawyer, Collins, Laurel and Maverick.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Beverly Weiermann; wife, Laurie Weiermann; and brother Scott Weiermann.
Though he is no longer with us, Don's legacy of love, kindness, service, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2026 at St. Joseph's Church, Chelsea. Burial will take place at Rector Cemetery, Chelsea.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday June 25th at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine.
