Donald Joseph Vavroch, 81, of Belle Plaine, went to be with the lord on Wednesday December 23, 2015 to join his son in heaven. A Memorial gathering is 4 - 7 PM, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Hrabak Funeral Home, In Belle Plaine. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be sent to Don's family at www.hrabakfuneralhome.com Donald was born May 23, 1934 to Louis and Anna (Charvat) Vavroch. He graduated from Tama High School in 1953. Following school he served in the National Guard for 6 years. On March 5, 1954 Don married Della Vore at St. Patrick's Church in Tama. Don started working at Motor Supply in 1958 and continued thru the mergers until his retirement in 2013. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, He is survived by wife, Della of 61 years; children, Stanley of Belle Plaine,IA, Dave (Janet) of Ankeny, IA, Jim (Karla) of Belle Plaine, Lisa Jones of Marion, IA; seven grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many more loving family and friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Douglas. Don was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
