Donald Jo Holan, 78, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at home.

Donald was born March 16, 1946 at the Corn Belt Hospital in Belle Plaine, the son of Henery John and Irene Mary (Neitzel) Holan. He grew up in Chelsea, IA and graduated from Belle Plaine High School. After high school Donald enlisted in the United States Army. He returned to Belle Plaine following his honorable discharge.

Donald was a quiet man who enjoyed writing letters, watching the news and he cherished his time spent with his granddaughters.

Donald is survived by his granddaughters, Krystol Andrews and Regina Lee Andrews both of Belle Plaine; great-grandchildren, Dacia Mikesell, Lynk Wang, Vayda Wang, Jack Wang, Ivan Sherrill, James Sherrill III, Amber Bouzek.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Donald Jo Andrews.

Private family services will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
