Catherine Ura Batey, 91, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Oskaloosa, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 27 at the Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine with Pastor Chuck Rennie of the Sycamore Baptist Church, East Moline, presiding. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery, Oskaloosa. Visitation will be 3:00 - 6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. She is survived by: sons, Collin (Evelyn) Batey of Port Byron, IL and Leon (Kay) Batey of Belle Plaine; daughter, Deborah (Joseph) Byrd of Cedar Rapids; eleven grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
