Carolyn Vannatta Dillinger, 82, formerly of Marengo, passed away October 26, 2021 at Azira Health, Winterset, IA.

Carolyn was born February 11, 1939 to Carl and Carrie (Vannatta) Datwyler in East Peru, IA. She attended Winterset High School. In 1954 Carolyn married Donald Dillinger. They raised their children on a farm near Elberon. Carolyn worked for nursing homes around the area. Later, after their children had grown, they moved to Marengo.

She liked flowers and gardening. Together with her husband, she enjoyed camping and was an active Iowa Hawkeye fan.

She is survived by her son, Rick (Jetra) Dillinger; 2 daughters, JoAnn (Swede) Erickson, and Teresa (Tom) Seiwert; grandchildren, Tosh (Crystal) Dillinger, Travis (Ashley) Dillinger, Eric (Honda) Seth, Jonathan Sieck, Doni Sieck, Jill (Karl) Duncalf, T.J. Seiwert and Matthew Seiwert, great-grandchildren, Greta, Gil, Tessa and Amelia Dillinger, Korbin and Isabel Seth, Nevaeh Sieck, Dakota Pierce, Caiden and Berkeley Black, Kyler Eisenzimmer; a sister, brothers, family and friends.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald (2016).
