Vernon L. Burgett, 74, of Belle Plaine died Thursday, May 8, 2008 in his home following a lingering illness. There will be no visitation or services. His body will be cremated with an inurnment in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Freeport, IL at a later date. Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine is serving the family.
He is survived by his wife Carol of Belle Plaine; sons, Melvin (Lisa) Burgett of Tonica, IL, Vernon, Jr. (Deborah) Burgett of Franklyn Grove, IL; step-son, Raymond Conklin of Davenport; daughters, Linda Miller and Debra Cotes of Dixon, IL, Donna (Robert) Cochran of Harmon, IL, and Brenda Burgett of Rock Falls, IL; brother, Everett (Sandy) Burgett of Davenport, FL; sister, Dorothy (Vernon) Blust of Lake City, FL; also by fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. . |
