Ruth A. Landuyt, 97, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center from complications of age. Services will be 10:30 AM Friday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church by Deacon Joe Behounek. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the Hrabak Funeral Home where there will be a vigil service at 6:30 PM followed by a Rosary.
She is survived by a son, Verlyn (Roswitha) Landuyt of Kunkelton, PA; daughters, Ruth Ann (Julian) Van Thournout of Belle Plaine and Marilyn (Dennis) Schipper of Cedar Rapids; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; son, Leon; grandson, Roger Landuyt; parents, William and Sarah Cummins Duncalf; sisters, Evelyn Meyer, Clarice Madison, and Helen Rieck; brothers, Donald, Bernard, Leo, and Wilfrid Duncalf.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. |
