Lois A. Sherwood, 89, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness. Memorial services will be 1:30 PM Friday, January 15 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ by Rev. Pete Hagglund. Inurnment will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may gather in the church hall following the service.
She is survived by her daughter, Winifred (Lloyd) Schild of Chelsea; step-son, Charles (Joy) Sherwood of Eldridge; sister, Florence Grummer of Raleigh, NC; step-daughter-in-law, Norma Sherwood of Belle Plaine; step-son-in-law, Terry Shedenhelm of Belle Plaine; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; also cousin Earl Johnston of Chelsea.
Hrabak Funeral Home is serving the family.
